Patricia C. Hewes !
patty is joining us from new york. this unknown age is going to celebrate her next birthday on classified. she's usually very vengeful, untrusting, manipulative and is really quite good at bringing people to justice. their problem is with her ethics. tsk tsk. welcome to Through With You, hun.
full name: Patricia C. Hewes
celeb face: Glenn Close
member group: Attorney
age: Unknown
likes: Bourbon, justice, getting her own way, being superior, owning her company.
dislikes: Disloyalty, her son's attitude, risk of being exposed to the law, feeling vulnerable, not being above everyone else.
personality:Patty can be described as ruthless, a master manipulator and brilliant in her own right. She is a high-stakes litigator managing her own law firm called Hewes & Associates and can be conceived as a woman that commands power and influence in a male-dominated world. Patty can be seen as being quite complex. She is someone who's rich, powerful, unscrupulous, conniving and charismatic.
history:The daughter of a judge, Patty grew up surrounded by the legal system and a desire to become a lawyer. However, her notions of justice were warped by the physical abuse she suffered at the hands of her father, who to his peers was a fair and honest judge but in private, a sadistic bully. As such, Patty developed a hatred for those who use their positions of power to bully and torment others.
Patty married young, to a man who supported her as she made her way through law school. However, when Patty became pregnant just as she landed a job at a powerful law firm, her first husband demanded that she turn down the job and postpone her dreams of becoming a lawyer in order to raise their child. After being told that her pregnancy would require her to stay in bed, Patty instead opted to induce a miscarriage. The loss of her child (a girl) would haunt Patty, who quickly divorced her husband and began her law career.
Patty would quickly become a successful lawyer, one whose ruthlessness was matched by her corruption. While the extent of her corruption has yet to be revealed, this included bribery and witness intimidation. In one case, Patty convinced a company scientist, Daniel Purcell, to throw his deposition in order to win her case. Patty and Daniel had a brief affair during this period, resulting in the birth of Patty's only child, a son. She also remarried, to a successful stock broker who spends most of his days out of the country on business.
In the first season, Patty was involved in a class action lawsuit against corrupt billionaire Arthur Frobisher, over his insider trading that left his employees and investors penniless. As part of a complex game of cat and mouse to get a witness who can incriminate Frobisher, Patty hired young law school graduate Ellen Parsons, as her soon-to-be sister-in-law had a one-night stand with the witness needed to bust Frobisher and the corrupt FEC official who he was in league with.
When Patty and Ellen discover that Ray Fiske (Frobisher's lawyer) was also involved in the insider trading cover-up, Patty blackmails him by threatening to reveal he is a closeted homosexual, to make him throw the case. Unfortunately, this backfires and Fiske kills himself in front of Patty. Ellen helps Patty cover up the crime, but when Ellen asks her if she feels remorse over what they did (blackmailing Fiske), Patty realizes that Ellen is a liability and orders her murdered. Unfortunately the hit fails, even as Patty begins to regret the decision as she has begun to see Ellen as a surrogate for her deceased daughter.
When Frobisher has Ellen's fiance killed, in an attempt to get him to give up evidence that irrefutably incriminates Frobisher, Ellen is arrested for the murder. Ellen trades the evidence in exchange for Patty clearing her of the charges and full usage of the firm to find her fiance's murderers and prove that Frobisher was responsible. Patty uses the evidence to blackmail Frobisher into settling the case out of court for 93% of his vast fortune. However, unknown to Patty, Ellen has realized that Patty tried to have her killed and agrees to help the FBI bust Patty.

hello! my name is M! and i'm excited to be here. i've been roleplaying for about 4 - 5 years now. other characters on this site that belong to me are N/A. my time zone is GMT. and that's all you need to know about me! oh, and this is what an average post for me looks like:
From Demons Run:
That one dream kept playing inside his mind each time he went to sleep. To say vampires were soulless was a lie, there was only a few that lived up to that stereotype. Vampires could dream if they wanted to and though Heath didn't particularly care much for it, this one dream lingered in his mind. It was more of a memory really. The memory of how he had become part of the undead and why, at the point of having these dreams, he was fearful of his family. If they ever found out what he was then they would no doubt disown him in a heartbeat; there would be no room for a monster in a family that put themselves above everyone and everything. Though no one in this time knew vampires existed, so would they even believe it if they did find out? It was impossible to tell and he really didn't want to find out. Dreams were something that he could handle, the possible expulsion from the Halloway family was another. Could he even call himself a Halloway? The blood of his family no longer ran through his veins, instead he was full of another man's blood. The blood of a servant. Oh that made things much worse for him, his family would definitely be disgusted.
The dream was always one of him making his way home after doing something that his father would be proud of, something that he found to be disgusting yet one thing he was obliged to do because, after all, father knew best. There was no guessing what time it was but he figured it was midnight, at that moment his thoughts were taken up on focusing on the fact that he was throwing up onto the ground, desperately trying to block out images of what he had done. His eyes looked at the small clump of blonde hair in his hand and he dropped it whilst staggering backwards, falling into a wall as he tried to keep himself upright. His eyes closed for a moment before a hand touched his shoulder and he jumped a little out of surprise, his eyes opening to fix on a man that had once been a servant to the family until Heath's father had executed his son for stealing some food. The words were still clear, even in a dream, those simple words that confirmed his fate: "he loses what he took." All that he could remember after that was the sharp pain in his neck and the energy fading away, after that it was all a blank.
At this moment though, away from the dream, he was feeding on a young female. The sweet crimson liquid that was her blood satisfying to his lips as he fed from her, only letting her go once she was completely drained, the body being carelessly being thrown to one side as he walked away and headed home. Didn't really take long to get there but once he did, his hand grabbed the door handle and he pushed down, finding that he couldn't enter; a frown on his face as he realised his invitation had been revoked. His fist banged on the door before he stepped back, waiting for someone to answer; it didn't take long of course, his father opened the door moments later and began to instantly shouting at him. Apparently they had found out what he was. Heath's eyes darkened a little as his father punched him, his mother stood at the door watching, the fight escalating and emotions getting out of control until Heath finally sank his fangs into his father's throat, making sure he couldn't scream as he bled to death. Then, with his eyes almost black and a lust for blood, he glamoured his mother to invite him in before he tore into her throat as well. Both bodies being burnt by the servants who had no choice but to obey Heathcliffe, seeing as though he was the only Halloway left. His eyes returning to their blue colour minutes later as he collapsed to his knees, realising what he had done.
